Greetings! I’m Chili and I arrived at the shelter as a stray with my siblings. You may not notice from my picture, but I’m a big, fraidy cat. I was more than likely born outside and didn’t really have much interaction with humans which in turn makes me scared of them. I will hiss, run away from you and hide somewhere I feel safe. If you do manage to catch me, I usually stay very still and I will allow you to pet me for a bit. I still have a lot of work to do and I’m ready to try things in a home environment. If you decide to take me home, it would be best if I was set up in a smaller room with my food, water, litter box and toys. A big house can be very overwhelming, where in a smaller room you know I’ll be safe. We can visit together and work on my confidence and socialization. As I get to feel more comfortable you can start letting me out to explore the entire house. I really want to be pat of a family. I want to know what it’s like to be loved, cared for and safe. It’s just going to take me a bit of time to adjust. I don’t think it would be a good idea for me to be adopted to a family with children. It’s hard because the kids are going to want to play with me and I’m just not there yet. It’s not to say that I can never be around children, they just may not be the best thing for me right now. If you think you’ve got the time and patience to help me become an amazing feline friend, please consider making me a part of your family! ~available for adoption at Global Pet Foods Jamieson Pkwy~
